A natural herbal hair color using the leaves of the indigofera plant. Indigo is used to dye hair a natural dark brown to black hair color. Versatile to use as a gloss if the properties of indigo are desired, without a full strength application. Indigo works best on already hennaed hair if grey strand coverage is desired.
Directions:
Full Indigo Application (grey strands coverage) - Apply to already hennaed hair within 24-48 hours for best results. Directions: Add 4-6 ounces of distilled water and adjust thickness to your liking. Indigo should be a smooth creamy paste. Apply to hair, then wrap hair in saran wrap. Let sit for 3 – 6 hours for darkest black. Optional to let sit for 1-2 hours for a natural black. Longer sit times produce darker results. Rinse with warm water, condition, rinse, and style as usual. Wait at least 48 hours before using shampoo. Hair that is already black (no greys) can skip the henna application and use indigo as a one step application. Color builds upon applications.

Henna Gloss: Add 1-2 tablespoons to 8 oz of conditioner. Apply the mixture of conditioner and indigo to the hair, let sit 10 minutes, rinse and style as usual.
